About

It all started when I was the tourist . . .

I arrived in New York City in 2004 from a small town in Brazil. Though I had originally traveled here to study language, I ended up falling in love with the city’s imagery. I knew I had to stay.

Living in New York, I revel in the island’s energy and its enduring embrace of change. I am fascinated by the ability of a single place to mean so many different things to many different people.

As a photographer, I believe in the possibility represented in city lights. Not a day goes by that I don’t snap a new city sight. The Foreign View is my embrace of NYC and an opportunity to capture what this urban landscape means to you.

You can see more of my work in the gallery.

Adventures ahead,
